Ave Maria, gratia plena,
Dominus tecum
Benedicta tu in mulieribus
et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Jesus.
Sancta Maria, mater Dei,
ora pro nobis peccatoribus,
nunc et in hora mortis nostrae.
Amen.

Hail Mary, filled with grace,
the Lord is with you.
You are blessed among women
And blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Locus iste is traditional for the consecration of a church or chapel.
|
Locus iste a Deo factus est.
Inaestimabile sacramentum,
irreprehensibilis est,
|
This place was made by God.
A precious symbol,
it is without fault.

Os justi was written in 1879 in celebration of the feast of St. Augustine. It is dedicated to Ignaz Traumkhler, the music director of the St. Florian monestary where Bruckner had studied in his teens. The text is from Psalm 37:30–31.
|
Os justi meditabitur sapientiam,
et lingua ejus loquetur judicium.
Lex Dei ejus in corde ipsius,
Et non supplantabuntur gressus ejus.
Alleluja.
|
The mouth of the righteous contemplates wisdom
And his tongue speaks what is just.
he law of his God is in his heart,
And his steps do not falter.
Alleluja.
