There's an ancient Chinese saying: "You can't be a great person until you have climbed the Great Wall."   There are 160 more great people in the world thanks to the Oratorio Society's summer trip to China.  The 2 concerts in Beijing were great, and Lyndon somehow managed to get the Opera Orchestra and 30 members of the Opera Chorus to understand what he wanted from them.  The rest of the trip was memorable for many things, including the terra cotta soldiers, the acrobat show in Shanghai, the unforgettable scenes on the Yangtze River, and a wonderful last day boat ride around the entire island of Hong Kong, despite the treacherous conditions while boarding the boats.  All of the arrangements were first class, including having police escort for our 4 buses wherever we went.   It was a truly wonderful trip.
