On Monday, October 6, 2008, members of the Oratorio Society of New York performed at the opening session of the annual gathering of the American Academy of Insurance Medicine. Under the direction of David Rosenmeyer, the group sang The Star Spangled Banner and The Boy From New York City. 

Laura Vecchione, a member of the Alto section is an AAIM member and introduced the OSNY to the conference organizers.
