Performance Reminders
Concert Dress:
Sopranos & Altos: ankle length black skirt; pullover style round neck, long sleeved
black blouse, 26" length pearls, black shoes.
Tenors & Basses: Easy ! - black tux or suit, white dress shirt and black bow tie.
Everyone: absolutely no perfume or after shave!
You'll need a black folder to hold your music. (The new folders
that will fit our new Messiah scores are black, not
red.) Folders and pearls are
usually available at rehearsal.
While on stage:
NO waving or talking to friends and family in the audience.
DO NOT exit the stage via the steps that go out into the audience.
NO foot stomping or tapping.
Turn pages QUIETLY. You should not be turning pages
during the arias - turn to your next cue.
When singing: Continue to hold your music up and don't move a muscle
until either the movement ends or we reach a 'sit' point.
When standing: Make sure your feet are flat on the floor before you
stand, so as to make as little noise as possible.
When sitting: Don't look over your shoulder - the chair will still be
there!
