Dues for the full season are $150, by
check only. Make your check payable to the
Oratorio Society of New York. Please write your
name and chorus number on all checks and memos. Note that there is a $15 fee for
bounced checks. Payments may be made in person or
mailed to the office at Carnegie Hall.
The Society relies on the generosity of its members and supporters.
Please try to make a contribution to the Society
in addition to your dues payment. In addition, check out
matching-grant policies with your employer.
A case can be made that dues are a charitable contribution. Check with your
accountant. Ticket purchases, however, are not usually contributions. See
me if you think your situation warrants an exception.
By Board resolution, dues must be paid in full by the 6th regular rehearsal,
which this year falls on October 11, unless special
alternate arrangements with the Treasurer are made. It is each chorus member's responsibility to
make sure that his or her dues status is in order by then. Members who have
not paid in full or made alternate arrangements by Oct. 11 will be charged a
late fee of $25.
Two types of alternate arrangements are available, based on financial need.
Installment payments of $50 can be made
with final installment due on Oct. 25. Complete the form on the bottom of this page.
Some or all of the dues may be waived cases
of extreme need. Please see Marie for assistance forms. If part of your dues is
waived, you must pay the balance by October 25.
To apply for either type of assistance, please complete the appropriate
form and return it to me by Sept. 13. All special arrangements must be
made by that date. Members whose dues status are not in order by October
6 will not be listed in the program. Members whose dues are not paid in full
by October 26 may not be permitted to sing Messiah but will be charged
for the full year. No special arrangements can be made
to extend dues payments beyond
October 25. All other bills (tickets, music)
must be paid in full before the Messiah performance.
